I've got a 1989 firebird formula with a 305 TBI, and while replacing the drivers door I discovered a large black box with about 3-4 wires coming out of it located behind the kick panel. Does any one know what this is, and what it's for. I'm only wondering for general info. It must be removed in order to gain access to the lower hinge door bolts, and it's held in with a large black piece of tape.
