Best Gripping Tires??

I have some terrible futura z rated tires on my car and I wanted to just get a new set of rears that I can get some good traction with. What is a good tire for mainly the street but sometimes the track that will get good launches? I'm not looking to spend too much either. Anybody know where to look?

You might want to post this on the "Wheels & Tires" forum.

either a drag radial such as the BFG or Nitto

if you want a regular street tire try the Firestone Firehawk SZ50, or the G-force KD or KDW

Well first off I don't think Z rated tires are the way to go. Second...look at these... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ireModel=HTR+Z

I had them on my somewhat stock 96 Z, stock 245/50/16 size, and I loved em! Good luck man...

It all depends on how much street driving you do...I drive 5000 miles a year and use BFG DRs...I do replace them once a year, but they ride great (in the dry) and not horrible in the rain. They hook in the 1.60s-1.70s at the track...I have never used the Nittos, but I hear good things about them, too...For regular streets look at the BFG KDs or KDWs...-Alan

I definately recommend Nitto drag radials. That's what I've got. As long as you don't drive crazy all the time, they should last a while.
