i need a new battery for my bone stock '98 V6. what's the best brand and mimimum cold cranking amps i should have. i live in wisconsin. the car is garaged until next fall when i go to college.

 

Hey I am in WI too, own a custom auto shop in Portage, but the best I have seen that can take a lot of abuse is the Optima battery, a V-6 could use a red top but if you run multiple amps and a cap, and a lot of other power stuff the yellow top cant be beat.

 

My stock Delco battery lasted until 2002.
