You might want to lose the attitude. Apparently you had problems on LS1tech as well.. Need to look in the mirror.

You came here looking for help. People tried to help you, but you reject their advice.

As far as using a higher resistance (***amperage***) fuse, you violated the first rule of troubleshooting electrical problems. Any mechanic that tells you to use a larger fuse is not a qualified mechanic. You apparently "got lucky" by substituting a fuse with an amp rating higher than the factory wiring and BCM were designed for.

But recommending that step to the thread starter was extremely irresponsible, and could have caused damage to the vehicle.

If you want to follow reckless procedures on your car, go for it. But do NOT recommend that someone else follow a reckless procedure, leaving his vehicle subject to significant damage. If it hurts your feelings because you were called out for your poor advice, feel free to give that advice elsewhere.

If you continue to argue this issue, your posts will be deleted.

That makes sense. If I try and start the engine again immediately then it struggles to start up. The interior lights are acting funny and I was getting random "bongs" from around the passenger footwell where the BCM is. I saw these things happen last time I had a defective BCM but not the engine cutting out issue so I was curious.

I have some really dodgy wire splices going to the BCM which I've neglected for too long so I'll sort that first.

Thank you, helpful as always.
How have things been since this post? Did repairing the wire splices resolve any issues? Is the BCM still making sounds like flicking circuit breakers?
