Battery cranking problem?

I have come across a lot of cars that seem like they have trouble turning over at first...but then go. Is this due to the battery not being powerful enough?

Re: Battery cranking problem?

Extended crank? Slow crank? Describe. Some cars just "chug" a few times before starting, it's just how the ignition is.

It turns over....but does it very slowly..then starts. Seems like a loss of power.

Re: Battery cranking problem?

It can be ignition related, when was the last time the plugs/wires were changed?

Check that the ground wires are clean and tight; there's a ground wire on the block close to the starter.
