Bad flywheel? And, bad heater core?

Well, if anyone remembers my thread on the starter, it was on a bad spot on the flywheel. All this time...

Anyways, does that mean my flywheel is messed up? Or is it ok and that stuff just happens?

Also, when I turn my heater on, it smells all sweet like coolant, does that mean it's broken and needs to be replaced?

Thanks guys!

On the coolant smell the heater core is what I would suspect. Do you get a slimey like substance on your windshield after having it on sometimes?

I don't remember your old thread, what were the starting issues? Sounds like you chipped some teeth off of the flywheel.

No, but smoke, steam, or dust comes out...sometimes.

BTW, my flywheels is brand new, it's the steel McLeod one that comes with the street twin.

If you are getting steam coming out the vents and smell coolant, that is probably a good sign you are due up for a new heater core.
