Question Bad Connector or Wires?

For the past few weeks, I noticed my passenger side DRL isn't as bright as my driver's.

I just bought two new bulbs today and changed the passenger one and it's still the same way. I noticed that on the older bulb AND the new one, only one of the two filaments inside the bulb is lighting up.

The housing that the bulb plugs in to was all burned around the edges, but seemed to be fine until I plugged the new one in and part of the housing chipped off.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem and have both DRLs have the same amount of brightness?

I say get a new socket and solder it and shrink wrap it and you'll be good to go. Get a GM one though, the aftermarket autozone/parts store ones never make a good connection.

Question Re: Bad Connector or Wires?

How do you do this, cut off the old bulb housing just past the wires and splice/connect the wires into the new housing?
