Ati super damper?

Is this something necessary? I am going to be building a 383 all forged soon. Thanks!

Id say it depends on how many rpm's you plan on turning. I personally got it with a cam rated 2400-6200.

Well obviously a dampener is needed. Whether you use an ATI or stock one is personal choice. With the money you've invested I would get the ATI dampener.

If you plan to run under 11.00, NHRA requires that you install an SFI-rated damper. The ATI SuperDamper is one way to meet that requirement, and a top quality piece.

It would of kind of dumb for lack of a better word, because if im not mistaken if you change dampiners you need to rebalance the assembly. Maybe im wrong?

You are wrong. The LT1 damper is neutral balanced.
