Its 9 degrees outside and has been snowing so the car was parked for a week. i tried to start it and was trying to turn over but wouldn t. so like a moron i held it to the floor and kept trying. now i assume the plugs are fouled or close to it. any advice. thanks critter

 

holding the throttle to the floor cuts off all fuel, so shouldn't have fouled the plugs by itself

and you said it was trying to turn over?

you mean it was cranking but wouldn't start or that it was cranking slow?

 

Cranking and tried to start. but never fully did.

 

think i might have found somthing out that may be causeing this. my ground to the pcm was cut, so i'm going to try to fix that and put some heet in the tank.

anything else i am missing?

 

If the coolant temp sensor wasn't accurate, and not telling the PCM how cold the engine is, it could cause it to have a hard time starting.

 

so are you talking about the sensor on the driverside head, or just grounding out the wire i am speaking of

 

the sensor on the front of the water pump

 

plugs are black and have a 33 gap. im gonna bump it 2 45
