AC question

About a year or so ago, my AC was acting up where it was blowing sub par cold and sometimes even sorta warmish air on the hotter days even on max. so I took it to a shop then and they said it was low on r134a and they also put in some dye to see if they can find a leak, well they were unable too find one. But man it was cold after the shop refilled it, i'd expect snowflakes to be flying out of my vents after the shop refilled it. well lately again its acting sub par. so i bought a can of r134a and refilled it. I had the AC running so some moisture formed on the metal low pressure side of the AC piping in the engine bay and i noticed when i was going to screw on the little plastic cap back on the low pressure valvle that little bubbles were forming up inside valve. I assume this is where all my refrigerant is leaking out from. Question is, I assume that whole pipe piece would have to be replaced as a whole huh? How much would it cost? At least my AC is freezing cold again........ for now.

You should be able to go to any auto store for the fitting you need.

Once the fitting is replaced you'll have to have the system vacuumed out first before adding any r134. You can't just refill the system without putting a vacuum into it first.
