AC problem

When i turn the ac or the heat on regular holes for it to come out of, it first comes out of the defroster vents. Then after a few minutes it finaly comes out the front circle vents. With A/C the prob is the air isnt cold. It's like mild air, and the heat is like medium. But it does if for both the setting for ac, the A/C and the MAX ac setting both do the same. Any ideas on the problem?

the air will always come out of teh defroster to start with. then as the vacuum biuld up it will switch. it takes a few seconds. thats normal

as for the warm air. you are probably a little bit low on freon. You can ahve the pressures looked at to find out for sure

Sounds like a vacuum leak in one of the hoses going to the selector or in the check valve... That would be my guess... As far as the A/C and heat being mediocre... I'd make sure the temp door is opening and closing.. You should hear a light bump when the temp door is turned to it's full travel from hot to cold... There's a cable that goes from the temp selector to the temp door... It's held on with one screw... If you get down under the passenger side floorboard and look up, you can see where the cable connects... I'd check those things first.
