AC not working..

AC not working..

I'm new here and was hoping you guys could help me out, long story short thursday drove for about 2 hours, A/C worked fine.... car sat for a few hours. went to drive the 2 hours back home and A/C was blowing out hot air. upon getting home i attempted to add freon. compressor would not kick on. bought a new compressor. still wont kick on. please advise!!

check for power at the compressor. was it blowing out hot air the entire drive back home or did it start cold and get warm. do you have a/c gauges, adding freon to an already full system could cause major damage.

I had the same thing happen. Pull the PCM fuse for a minute and let the computer reset itself. If that doesn't work, you can check compressor by pulling the a/c relay under the hood and jumpering a wire between the lug closest to windshield andother lug on left side of car. Good luck !
