With the engine off, reach down there and see if you can turn the compressor clutch. My compressor just locked up. If yours did the same, you wont be able to trun it.

I was also told that most of the time its the low pressure switch. Im not sure where its at because I couldnt find it I took it to a shop that had a free ac inspection and they pointed out to me that the compressor was locked up. Just somethig to check out anyway

a pull the relay and make a jumper, watch to see if the clutch ingages if it does then its just low, on the other hand if it was like mine it spewed belt smoke, either way ac delete is the way to go, its a mucsle car not a ***** wagon, who need ac.

You really need to get a manifold gauge set on there b4 you can assume anything. Go to a local shop and get it looked at. A/C systems aren't a DIY type of system strictly b/c no(normal) person has a gauge set, recovery, or recharge equip in the garage......

I'm "normal" I think
And I have a gauge set!
And I've never worked in any shop besides a tire shop.
I'm EPA 609 and ASE certified too so I can even leagally use my gauge set

well cool...my rear end just about blew up, along with no ac....2 things i hvae to fix now...wel actually i chipped about 10 teeth on my rear so now i have to get a new set of gm gears...since i had 3.73 gears installed alreadty, would I have to buy another installation kit ( only been about 5-6 months with the 3.73 in ) or can i just buy the gears and install the ring and pinon?
and how does 175 for a pro install sound on a gear install?
