From what I have read the abs light will come on if you install late model ss rear spoiler with led lights onto a car that used to just have the 2 bulbs in the rear spoiler there needs to be a resistor installed, do a search and you will find the answer. Also the brake pedal will flutter upon initial start up when the car starts moving over 2 mph, at that time the abs system is doing a self test.

Mine used to come on under hard acceleration back when my tranny was about to go. I know that's not your problem but I just thought it was wierd. Car used to shutter when shifting cause the clutch packs were almost toast, in turn that would make the inop come on. I'd go off after a second.

Sorry about that. I was just chiming in to my experience with the inop light. Just giving you another idea of what sometimes causes the light like everyone else. Trust me, you'd know if the tranny was going lol. It would shake the whole car when shifting. Frickin' horrible.

Hmm.. my ABS inop light is on too, as well as the ASR light, since that's what it uses to slow the tires down in a low traction situation.

I also purchased slotted and cross drilled rotors for all 4 corners, but the rears didnt' fit, so i just replaced them with some aftermarket ones that were supposed to be just like OEM. My ABS inop light has been on since.. I put a new battery in so i know it's not the connections.. there might be some metal filings on the teeth.. i'll have to check that out

I think i do have a third brake light out.. i never would have thought of that being the problem, but it's somethnig to try!!

Mine does that! For some reason it seems to go on above certain speeds regardless of throttle input also, though. Luckily my tranny shifts like a rock (puts you back in the seat) so I hope I won't be having any run-ins with the tranny any time soon. That would just make me flip. Hopefully it's just a sensor or a wire somewhere that doesn't like being pushed around....
