ABS Inop light came on

I took my 93Z out of storage today, and after backing out of the garage the abs inop light came on. If I shut the car off and restart it, the bulb will go out. As soon as I start driving it comes back on. Car has been sitting since end of November and had a dead battery that I recharged. What do you guys think? Thanks, Brad

I would inspect each wheel sensor and make sure there is nothing blocking the teeth, ie: spyder web, dust, dirt, ect.

check your brakelights and make sure you don't have a burntout bulb. I had to replace a bulb in my spoiler and the ABS light stopped coming on, but now I have a bulb out in my tailight and the Abs INOP light periodically comes on. It doesn't affect my braking so I'm not too concerned.

yea, if the 3rd brake light bulb is burnt out, I believe it'll cause your ABS inop light to go on.

Mine came on not too long ago and it was the right rear wheel speed sensor.

The manual for 93's says it's normal.To reset it,turn off car,wait a minute,restart it.Should go off.If it stays on all the time,follow above suggestions.My02

Simple one. Did you do a wire change lately?? If so make sure none of your wires are touching the ABS wire or even near it. That will throw a code.

oh yea, I almost forgot. Check your ABS. lol Maybe you really DO have a problem with your ABS and that's why you can't get rid of the light! hehe

Wow exact same problem as my 93 I was just getting ready to post about it. I will check all my bulbs and sensors. I also had mine stored I wonder if there is something in that? Also I notice when I first start it and back out of the drive the pedal will go into a antilock studder for a sec only one time after you start it then its fine. Anyone else seeing this is it normal?

Just this morning when I went to the gym my ABS light came on and stayed. I also noticed that my alternator wasn't charging like it should and it's only two weeks old. I had done a powder coating on it so I took it off and filed the powder coating off every place where it bolted on so it would get a better ground and not only is it charging like it should now but the ABS light went out. Just a thought

ok how about this , I took my car to get the new SS spoiler put on and painted, before no abs inopt light , after I got the car back the light is on , I know that they moved the car with no 3rd brake light on it, but now it has the led 3rd brake light on it and the abs light is still on , I pulled the pcm fuse &the ign fuse , still nothing , will try tomorrow to take the air compresser and blow out the wheels & wheel sens, any more suggestions
