I just bought the west wings front spoiler that brent uses on his z. I forget the model number sorry. Anyways rk sports says you need to buy this other air deflector in order to get enough air to the car. I was wondering if you really need this and whats the difference b/t that oen and the stock one? Thanks for your help guys

With the front of your car now being lower, the OEM air deflector is essentially blocked by the new front clip.

The one that is supposed to come with the kit is longer than the OEM.

and by less air they mean less air over the radiator...

and that obviously means you run the risk of having higher temps on the highway.

around town the difference will probably be negligable since in traffic very little air flows anyway. but on the highway or moderate speeds you will probably see an increase in engine coolant temps (although with the ****ty guage on the cars...maybe not )

i would see how it drives first, how the temps act.

then i would try to find something to put between the frame and the mounting surface of the stock deflector. something to drop it 1" would probably make all the difference in the world.
