98 dash in 96 TA?

Will it work with no problems? Or do I need to get a console with it too? What else?

It should work. The dash was unchanged for the Firebird through the years, at least to the naked eye. If you're swapping the gauges, those WON'T work though. You'd need a 97 clutster if you wanted the digital odometer readout.

so ther were no changes from 96-98 (unlike the camaro) and my gauges still work, so i wont be changing those. But other than that it should work?

I'm not WS6, but if you use a 97 cluster with the digital odometer, it will work. The 98 and ups don't work, as there were some wiring changes, but I know for a fact that the 97 will work in the 93's. Both of my 93's have a 97 cluster in them. You don't need a new harness.

Sorry, I'm at work, no AIM. All you have to do is swap the clusters. BUT, the dealer cannot program the mileage. I've checked at several places with no luck.

Does anyone know about this? Cuz there's gotta be someone who sets the mileage to the cluster, incase one ever needs replaced!!!?!?!
