96 Dashboard Installation

My dashboard cracked the other day (the big piece that sits underneath the windshield) and I ordered a new one. I'm not EXACTLY sure on how to replace it, so if anyone has a site that gives some info that would be great. Already checked shbox.com, didn't find anything. Did searches, google, etc. Perhaps it's pretty straightforward...

Just remove your T-tops and there are 2 screws in each windshield pillar. Then remove the pillars. They actually clip in also so you have to pull down on the pillar before pulling it out and away from the dash. If i was you i'd personally cancel the order and just buy a complete 97 dash. They aren't too expensive and i haven't heard of them cracking as often as 93-96 dashes. Also if they do crack the dash pads are much easier to find and much cheaper.

Alright, thanks. Not a bad idea, but I'm going to sell the car and step up to a 98-02 Z28 or T/A. Thanks though.
