i bought a 95 z28.. The previous owner installed a kenwood radio.. The radio will stay on until the passenger door is opened and key off. When it shuts the radio all all the presets erase and settings as well.. i need a wiring diagram.. I already checked shbox.com but could locate one... Any help would be appreciated

 

Looks like the previous owner did not hook up the memory wire
on the back of the radio there is a wiring diagram ... find the memory wire on radio
tie it in to the harness .. use a test light to find the constant hot wire from the dash boards wiring harness if my memory is right its the larger yellow wire

 

The always-hot (memory) wire is orange. The switched wire is yellow. Shoebox has a diagram for the 96. I noticed it is identical to the one in the 94 manual so it should be good for 95 also.

 

Same here im having a problem with the memory not staying set and it erase everytime I shut the car off help please

I gave z28leno that link in huis other post. Always confusing when the same problem is posted in two locations. Firemechanic's post is old.
