94z28 A4 to M6
Re: 94z28 A4 to M6
I’m not sure about the harness. I can tell you on the t-56 there are 4 electrical connections:
VSS for the speedometer
Skip shift (can be ignore if not tuned for)
Reverse lockout
Reverse lights
I just went through a Terminator X conversion and only have the brake lights connected. I purchased a mechanical reverse lockout that has a weaker spring making it possible to get into reverse without having to use both arms and body weight, but still provides enough pressure that getting into reverse without trying to do so would be difficult.

In any case, the PCM has to be reflashed with a manual trans program. As an example, the VSS output pulse rate is significantly different on the T56 than the 4L60E. Then the PCM also needs the part of the program that controls the skip shift feature (typically deleted) and reverse lockout solenoid.
You would replace the 12 or 13 wire 4L60E portion of the harness w/ the wiring mentioned in post #3. When you install the clutch pedal assembly, it has two switches on it. One is the cutch start switch that requires the clutch to be on the floor to crank the starter. That gets wired with the circuit removed from the auto trans shifter P/N switch. The second switch is for the cruise control release, shutting cruise control off when you depress the clutch pedal. If you have cruise control that would have to be wired up.
I haven’t done it. Not a lot of people left here to help any more. A “search” might turn up more info.

Wouldn't an LSx conversion need an LSx PCM. And the “psi” harness is aftermarket, rather than using an F-Body LS1 harness?

Re: 94z28 A4 to M6
In my opinion the parts kit with a new trans and other new parts is the best deal. https://www.hawksmotorsports.com/82-...-engines-only/
The swap is easy but it isn't cheap. Your aftermarket harness may complicate the wiring changes a little but shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Depending on your current gear ratio you may need to change the rear gear.
