94 Z radio issue

Have a 94 Z with a factory CD player. Theres a freakin CD caught in it and when you hit eject it wont come out. Anybody had this issue? When you try to toggle back and forth from FM to CD it wont do anything. Its constantly trying to load the CD which it never does. Anybody?

Take a small screwdriver, like an eyeglass or similar size or nail file, or something else flat that you can stick in the cd slot. You will probably have to either push down on the cd, or get underneath and push up. Not much pressure is needed. Chances are the cd is scratched all up anyway if its tried to eject and load by itself several times. If pushing lightly one way or the other doesnt do anything, you may need to get some small tweezers and pull on it when it tries to eject. I had one do the same thing from a 95 before I bought my car. After I got the cd out of mine, it worked fine for a couple years till I sold it. IF the cd thats stuck has a sticker label on it, it may have bound up the player, if so dont try that one again. If you get it out, find a cd thats not too good and try it to see if it will work right. Sometimes they just glitch like that. Let us know what happens.

Might try this. When a cd won't go in and stay in,I banged on the dashboard while the cd is going in.Might work to release it as well.I've got this problem on my Saturn Vue right now.If I don't bang on the dashboard on top of the player, with my fist, the bugger won't stay in.(Just don't do this at a stop light, people might stare).Hope this helps.

I have had this happen and fixed it by disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting it.
