93 Camaro ABS Module interchange with 94-95?
93 Camaro ABS Module interchange with 94-95?
I'm trying to source a good/working ABS computer for my 1993 Z28. The part number for 93 is 16171460. Cardone doesn't rebuild these. Blue Streak does, but they're crap (sending back the 2nd defective unit I've received). Salvage is always a crap-shoot, and *not* plentiful on EBAY.
I'm curious if a unit from 94-95 without traction control would work. Same connectors. GM Part 16207618. These are easily and cheaply found.
Thoughts?

Re: 93 Camaro ABS Module interchange with 94-95?
Replying to my own thread here. Yes, the parts appear to be interchangeable. Found a NOS EBCM for a 95 (without Traction Control) on ebay for $30. Same connectors and pinouts. Functions appear to work the same as tested by a few hard stops on a gravel road.
Using Gary's Scan 94/95 Software to read the EBCM, there appear to be no issues reading it or using any of the actuator functions even though it's a 93 ECM with a 94/95 brake computer. Keeping it on the "93" setting for the scan mode works just fine.
