will a rear out of a 97 work on my 93?

my 93 rear has bit the dust and while its out getting rebuilt i have a spare rear out of a 97. however the 97 had traction control on it and id like to knwo if it will work on my 93? will the abs sensors hook up right? will the 97 rear brakes hook up right? will the traction control affect installation? thanks

i blew up my rearend in my 97..and a friend had his factory rear out of his 93 T/A.

I had to swap the axles and caliper mount brackets around to get mt abs to work.

but other than that its a direct bolt in swap.

my car has 4 channel abs...his 93 has 3 channel.

The only difference would be, like said above, the 3-channel and 4-channel abs set up. It will work, with little modification.

Similar question...

I have the 4 channel setup in my car now, but want to ditch TCS. I'm having a 12 bolt built very soon, can I have it setup with 3 channel ABS and just get the different wiring harness? I realize I'd have to eliminate TCS via LT1 Edit to really clean it up, but will a rear setup for 3 channel ABS work in a car setup with 4 channel ABS as long as you have the 3 channel wiring harness?

Hope that made sense,
Chris
