Exclamation 7.625 10 bolt Pinion depth for 3.73s?

I am rebuilding my GM 10 bolt(7.5 to 7.625)(gears 3.23 and above). I have everything I need, and I was wondering if anyone here has rebuilt one with 3.73s before. I would love to know the shims used on the pinion so I can greatly reduce the time in this rebuild. I would appreciate any help with this one! Thanks!

Uhm... didn't you already ask this question? I highy suggest not double-posting (as the mods don't like that); and also do some reading on how to setup gears properly.

If/When you do the research you'll notice that pinion depth is not something that can be just specified. It needs to be adjusted and set differently for every gearset and every rear axle. My only suggestion to make it easier is to ream out the ID of the old large pinion bearing (assuming it's not shot and you're replacing it) such that it's easier to setup/tear down until you find the right thickness.

Also, when setting up rear end gears... time is NOT something to rush... in fact if you're worried about how long it's going to take I highly suggest taking it to a professional.
