94 and up require that the new rear axle ratio be (flash) programmed in the PCM. You could actually do that with a Hypertech Power Programmer, which is otherwise of somewhat limited value. Or download TunerCATSto flash it yourself. Or have the PCM mail order tuned. If you have already had your PCM tuned, the tuner will sometimes make minor changes like this at reduced cost.

Now I have a Formula that will be receiving the same treatment plus EWP, 24X and a 3200 stall. Hopefully I can get an A4 to respond like a 6 speed

I put the 4.11 gear in my son's 96 Z28 6-speed. It's a perfect gear for that car and should've been a factory option, but probably couldn't be for fuel economy reasons. He never used 6th gear before, now it's used and even at 70 MPH the RPM is only around 2000. I had a factory 4.10 in my 72 Z28 and that was only a 4-speed and it wasn't bad. You'll be glad you did the 4.11 in your 94. I also had a 4.56 gear in my 68 Chevelle, but that was around 4000 RPM at 55 MPH with a Muncie 4-speed. Didn't matter back then though, because gas was cheap, and it was a small block 327. It was a much faster Chevelle than my 69 Chevelle SS 396 4-speed with the stock 3.73 gear.
