Got a question, I'm looking to build a 383 LT1 that will put out at least 400 horsepower naturally aspirated and pass smog in California? Does anyone have any expereince, or is even posible?

Re: 383 Lt1

Very possible. 500hp out of a heads/cam 383 is not all that difficult.

400hp would be really mild for a 383. You should be able to do 450 and pass smog easily with the right parts.

I should be running a heads/cam 383 by September. I'll let you know how it goes.
