2002 Z28 find with under 10,000 miles

I was contacted about a 2002 Z28 Convertible 35 Anniversary Edition that hasn't been out of the storage unit in 8 yrs.... it has less than 10,000 miles on it. The owner has passed away and his family is cleaning out the storage unit. My question is about the fluids... What all should I do before trying to start it? I know I'm going to need to remove the fuel and replace the battery?

Nice find.I would not try to start it.I would have the car towed to a reliable mechanic(after you get an estimate of what the cost would be to drain the tank, oil, trans, rear, coolant, power steering, brake fluid).I would suspect there might be gummed up fuel injectors, old fuel still in the lines, old brake fluid with moisture, even rust sometimes.Might do a search on utube,or shoebox's site for replacing fluids if you have the space and time.Tires are going to have to be replaced.Hope this helps.Sounds like a sweet ride.

In addition to all fluids, replace everything made of rubber. Not just tires; hoses, gaskets, seals, weatherstripping too.
