2002 Camaro Production Numbers

I have reviewed the report here in the articles section to come up with what I hope is a fairly accurate number. I have a 2002 Camaro Z28 for sale and have advertised it as follows: "2002 Camaro Z28 35th Anniversary Edition (not a SS), only 3000 made with convertible, 6-speed and fully loaded". I am getting a lot of responses from people saying I am misrepresenting my Z28 to look like the 'Limited Edition SS' as only 3000 of THOSE were made. Only reference I fould to 3000 Limited Edition SS is at

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/2002-3...-camaro-ss.htm

So I'm not sure where these folks are getting the 3000 SS number or why they are upset with me claiming there were 3000 Z28 Conv 6-sp made. Anyone better informed on exact numbers? Thanks.

A good reference on Camaro production info is the Camaro White Book by Mike Antonick. It shows the production of the 35th Anniversary SS as 3,369 (3,000 US, 369 Canada) and breaks it down by coupes, convertibles, M6 and A4. The book does not list any option for a 35th Anniversary Z28, and specifically shows that the package was only available on the SS (RPO Z4C).
