2001 Camaro SS

Hey guys I am new here, this is my very 1st post.... I have 1995 Camaro V6.. At first I thought about doing a motor swap to a LT1 but then thought it might be too much of a pain, so I was going trhoguh the local auction in Phoenix, AZ and I came across a 2001 Camaro SS with 58K miles....

The Camaro needs a front bumber, fender and rear quarter panel and also both airbags... Thats all it needs, it starts and everything... Now considering it being a Salvage title, im hoping I can run away with it for 3 grand.... Is there anything I should consider before doing something like this?

Thanks guys, much appreciated!

It looks like it got smacked pretty good. Aside from the obvious body damage, I would make sure the chassis is sound and asses what kind of damage has been done inside the engine bay, the undercarriage, ect. If you do want to get it, I would get it as cheap as possible because it is going to cost you a good buck to get it put back together. Probably close to what you could get a used SS for in perfect shape

I know, here is the price list from the obvious body damage:

Airbags (driver & Passenger): $150
Left Fender: $175
Headlight Assembly: $200

Everything else im not too sure about... I know i want to buy a full body kit for it anyway, and obviously repaint it... my worry is the frame or drivetrain being bent a little due to collision....

How much do you think it would cost me, im sure I can get the car anywhere from 2-4 grand

Hard to say how much it will cost to repair, especially since I think there is more damage to it then what is shown in the pictures. Just a decent paint job alone is not cheap. Throw in a fender and quarter panel, a front end, back bumper, hood, taillight, ect. and it will add up quick. If you are going to have a body shop do all of this work for you, that is going to pad the bill even more.

Rear quarter panel repair can be outrageous on these fbodies. Apparently it isn't a bolt off repair if the damage is significant.
