Hey everyone i have 2 annoying problems hopefully someone can answer....First off you know how our wipers have an "on" position when running and a "home" position when off...Mine will not return to the home position it drives me nuts i see less of the front end...Please help w/ that..

Second problem involves my ac and vents...i know its some dumb actuator or a loss of vacum somewhere hopefully one of lyou knows where. The ac will only come out on the floor boards and not the vents on the dash...This problems also occurs w/ the heat..so not really an ac problem...thanks in advance...Ryan

 

Sounds like the wiper motor is bad and you've lost the vacume signal to your vent controls. You could also have a bad A/C vent control selector.

 

Or the vacuum lines to the heat/AC controls have a problem... leaky lines, faulty check valve, etc.

 

thanks for the replies got started last night got some plastic vacum line after finding the line to the intake leaked slow...will changet that when i get home...hope thats all it is. I tried to buy a wiper motor and not in stock damn those things are 85 bucks but i hate this stupid problem...thanks again ill post again if it all works out...thanks Ryan

 

I had the same problem w/ the wiper motor.....would "park" them straight up, so I would pull the fuse while they were running just so I could keep them down....until I had to "feel" my way off the road in a central florida monsoon one afternoon.....I found a motor on this site from VIPER, I don't know if he still posts on here, but he sold it to me for like $35 bucks and shipped it really quick.....plus it's an easy swap out.
