1LE camaro

Assuming the system has been bled to make sure no air is in the plumbing and the vacuum lines are opening the right flaps and doors in the vents then it sounds as though it's time to pull heater lines and back flush them and the heater core. Maybe remove or inspect the restrictor on the line. There have been threads on the best way to do this.
Good Luck with it.

"What about your GVW tag inside the driver side door? Post your weight and I'll post mine for a fully optioned A4 Z28."
Good call!
My door sticker says GVW = 4141 lbs and if I assume subtracting the load capacity (4 people) of 701 lbs is what you mean ... so 3440 lbs? I wonder if that is with oil, water and 1/2 a tank of gas?

jtarp:
"no defrost" ?
Mine does have a functional defroster setting. I don't believe the 1LE was available for T-tops or rag tops and the 3.42 rear (on M6) was mandatory ... was the A4 with the 3.42 or were they mandatory at least 3.23? A 95 1LE would pick up a little weight over stock because the larger front bar and the oil cooler.
-------------------------------
I wonder what tires/wheels ... I don't see many 4th gens by me and I've never seen one with the "base tire/wheel" package (narrower steel wheels? smaller tires) so does the GVW refer to those tires or is it with the "salad shooters"? My sticker Capacity seems to be for the optional tires/wheels (which it seems every Z28 I've seen has but GVW is listed in the section above that.

I would think the 1LE cars would have no speedlimiter so they most likely got the optional tires. Are you saying the 1LE cars came with steel wheels or you don't know? I am not sure either. I knew the cars were pretty much stripped with better factory parts, but thats as far as my knowledge goes for the 1LE cars.

From my window sticker:
1LE performance package: msrp $310.00
(includes engine oil cooler & special handling suspension system)
P245/50 ZR-16 S/B Radial B/W HW4 Tires: msrp $225.00
-------------------------------------------------------
I seem to recall the Z rated tire option was mandatory to get the 1LE option. The window sticker says the standard Z28 tires were P235/55R Radials and the "salad shooters" were standard on the Z28 (I guess only the V6 could have steel wheels).
I was curious if the GVW on my door sticker was for the "standard" Z28 which would have the smaller, lighter tires because it was part of a separate section (top) of the door sticker and the capacity weights and tire specs were another section printed at the bottom of the sticker.

The GVW with passengers is 4228lbs. This is a fully optioned A4 Z28 with t-tops. Mine has been on a diet though.......
I have the same tires ,as you, which was an option. I am pretty sure that with the 3.23 rear gear for an auto you got the z rated tires and z rated tire cars had the speedlimiter removed.
It is probably safe to say that all 1LE cars got the z rated tires and probably the hideous salad shooter rims.
