I've never had mine on a scale so I looked through all my original paperwork, but there is no shipping weight listed. I don't recall the "Blue Book" breaking out a shipping weight for 1LE optioned 1995 Camaros. I do have the following link to some accessory and option weight info ... http://www.lt1engine.com/tech/camaro...f-body-weight/
Using this I always assumed to be at least 50 lbs less than a base Z28.
If you ever find out, please post the number ... I'm curious too.

i found a quote from a history of the RPO-1LE page and a guy said "my 1994 fourth generation 1LE Z/28 weighs 3,100 pounds wet!" I dont know how accurate that is as it sounds fairly light to me, but im not sure.

That sounds like they pulled the passenger and back seat, spare tire, jack, interior door panels ... gutted it to be a track car. In 95 (as far as I know) the weight differences over a standard Z28 coupe would be no air, no power seats or windows and a single large fan instead of the dual fans. I don't know what a standard Z has in the way of weather proofing underneath but this one doesn't have very much. As far as the engine, I don't believe there was anything different. Some people have said a few cars may have gotten 4 bolt blocks towards the end of LT1 production because there were some left over after LT4 engine production ended.

What about your GVW tag inside the driver side door? Post your weight and I'll post mine for a fully optioned A4 Z28.

i was going to do that but i cant read it. It is too faded to read unfortunately. The 1LE were only coupes correct, or were there any made with t tops? The reason I am asking is because i have no ac, no power options, limited insulation/sound deadening material, no defrost. So did i just get a stipper i guess?

Good call!

My door sticker says GVW = 4141 lbs and if I assume subtracting the load capacity (4 people) of 701 lbs is what you mean ... so 3440 lbs? I wonder if that is with oil, water and 1/2 a tank of gas?
------------------------------------
jtarp:

"no defrost" ?

Mine does have a functional defroster setting. I don't believe the 1LE was available for T-tops or rag tops and the 3.42 rear (on M6) was mandatory ... was the A4 with the 3.42 or were they mandatory at least 3.23? A 95 1LE would pick up a little weight over stock because the larger front bar and the oil cooler.

-------------------------------

I wonder what tires/wheels ... I don't see many 4th gens by me and I've never seen one with the "base tire/wheel" package (narrower steel wheels? smaller tires) so does the GVW refer to those tires or is it with the "salad shooters"? My sticker Capacity seems to be for the optional tires/wheels (which it seems every Z28 I've seen has but GVW is listed in the section above that.

yeah, no rear window defrost. So i am guessing i just got a base Z28? I cannot read the code or anything in the door jam. The sticker is too worn away to read it.

Oh, the rear window, I thought you were saying yours didn't come with a heater core up front! One of the few options I got was the rear defrost elements (don't know why I did ... from a previous car I already knew they aren't very effective!) also got body side moldings and MATCHING FLOOR PADS! I believe the factory also puts a build sticker inside the glove box.
