1997 Camaro Guage Cluster
1997 Camaro Guage Cluster
I have a 94 camaro and i'm doing an interior swap, switching to the ebony interior. I am also swaping out the dashes, the 93-96 style to the 97-02 style. I know the 1997 Guage cluster from the LT1 accepts an analog signal, will a 3.8 guage cluster from 1997 work also? I am having a hard time finding a 5.7 1997 Guage cluster, but i have found numerous 3.8 1997 guage clusters. Does anyone know for a fact if one from a 3.8 1997 will work with my LT1? I am assuming it would if it accepts the analog signal, but i just want to make sure.
Thanks,
Bill
Thanks,

Re: 1997 Camaro Guage Cluster
I looked for a while for a 97 Z28 gauge cluster for my 2000 dash swap... Couldn't find, or win one on ebay... I ended up buying a 95 LT1 Trans Am cluster which fits, with the exception of the odometer housing at the rear of the gauge cluster... I had to cut out a small piece on the 2000 dash to get it to fit... Sucks, but I was tired of looking for a 97 and you can't see where I cut anyways since it's covered by the gauges... Wouldn't the speedometer be off if you used one from a 3.8 since the LT1 is 155 and 3.8 is 135(?) but the sweep of the gauge is the same? I'm sure someone here knows more about it than I do.
