1996 Z28 ASR Off and ABS Inop problem
Had a quick question for anyone who may have had this problem. When driving my Z whenever I come to a stop the car will stop, jerk forward (the low trac light comes on for a sec) and then the car will come to a complete stop. After several occurances the asr off and abs inop lights will then come on but the braking/jerking issue stops. Any suggestions would be great!

My car done that before i replaced and shimmed my back brakes. Its like it wants to keep going when you stop and the back brakes cant hold it. When the tires slip the traction light would kick on. I dont know about the abs/asr inop unless you have a loose connector or something.
I had basically the same problem when the rear ABS sensor on my Strange 12-bolt wasn't adjusted correctly. Car would slow down to about 5mph fine, and just as I expected the car to stop, the ABS would kick in and extend the stopping distance by about 10 feet.
Since you have TCS, you'll have 4 sensors, one on each wheel. Try cleaning them, checking the wires/harness connectors to make sure they aren't damaged. IF that fails, have a dealer or a good brake shop pull the codes from the ABS/TCS control module to see exactly where the problem is.
