Smile 1984 Z28 LiftGate Hardware - rear glass molding

Hi, I've owned my 1984 Z28 2-door coupe for 31 years. It's kept in the garage at all times. Recently, the hatchback glass shattered. The company that was replacing the glass also shattered the new and 'last' glass while inserting the glass in the used molding. They referred us to another glass company because the glass and new molding are extremely hard to find, expensive and they are not comfortable with this job. The second glass company will only do the work 'if' I can locate 'NEW' glass moldings. Really? My research turned out locating new rear glass, a new 'right' molding asm r/cmpt l/wdo (#10141480) or #20566682, however, the left 10141481 is the one I am missing. These parts are discontinued,no longer available and extremely difficult to find. Can someone offer some suggestion, other than replacing the entire hatchback with a used one. I'm new to this forum and was hoping I could seek some great advice from the experts. Thanks in advance.

”Site...... Suggestions” is for comments about this site, problems navigating, how to post photos, etc., not asking for suggestions on how to fix your car. I'm going to move this to “General 67-02 F-Body Tech” where you are more likely to get answers.

And, not a lot of active 3rd Gen owners on the site any more, but a few.

I'd hit Thirdgen.org if I were you.
