1974 Camaro w/ LT5 swap value?

Well when I was at work today i talked to this guy driving 2000 Vette with HRE 3piece wheels, custom paint and runs mid 11's with a timeslip to prove it. I got to talking with the guy and he brought up the camaro and said he was thinking about buying it as a play toy, so i do believe he is telling the truth. All i know is it's a 74' camaro w/ LT5 swap and he said it has new tires and wheels but the paint has some flaws. I plan to go see it on monday because its at a shop and ill get more details on it, but I was wandering if ya'll could give me an estimate of what this cars value should be knowing just that little bit of info assuming everything else is in descent shape. thanks

Ill definatley take my camera with me. Here is the reason for me posting this thread : the guy told me the owner just wants to get rid of the car and only wants 5000 for it. I had only heard of an lt5 once before and have no idea of what there worth. Ya i know it sounds crazy but i have to check it out.

yeah, definately buy it, that motor is probably worth 10-15k. LT5 corvettes normally sell for 40k+ for a 1990 corvette

well one thing is for sure, it is visually obvious if it is an LT5, lol!

if the car happens to be a slightly decent camaro, and has a good running LT5 in it, then youre getting the deal of the year for 5k.

even if the camaro isnt in good shape, if hes getting a LT5 for 5k, thats the deal of his lifetime right there. If u dont buy it and it is a LT5, let me know where its at

lol, yeah i agree

I just assumed that if it was a rusted our crapbox that no one would have bothered to put in the LT5 in the first place, but hey, stranger things have happened!
