150MPH VS 155MPH speedo

Like the title says... is there a difference in the car? Or was it just a cosmetic difference.

I thought that the 155 denoted a difference in the car... perhaps a speed governer or something?

Some of the 93, 94 & maybe 95's had a 115 speedo and a governor of 115 where as the cars with the 150-155 speedo's did not AFAIK.

If the vehicle came with the Z rated tire option, ther is no speed limiter.... Atleast for the 93s'.....

If you never got the performance tires then you got the 115 spedo and the govenor is aprox 107ish 108.

My 95 goes up to 150 as well, with no speed limiter.

The people with the 155 speedo don't actually have a number for the 155mph. It's the SAME ONE AS THE 150! 150mph people have another tick on the speedo that shows the 155 mark. SAME EXACT THING, just read differently.

There is a speed limiter on the cars with the Z-rated tire options. The PCM has the value "255" entered in the speed limiter field. Not likely you'll hit it.....
