I installed the aeromotive stealth 2 fuel tank and it comes with -06 fittings. i purchased some line, then a couple fuel line adapter fittings to connect to the factory lines but they dont work at the factory lines connectors by the rear end. is there a better way of doing this? i really dont need or want to run -06 all the way to the fuel rail, but i'm not ruling it out.
they make those kind of adapters. I just did -6AN to my fuel pump on a 67 and needed the reverse flare/-6M fitting. Previously I had -6AN to 3/8 barb but I swapped to a braided AN line to eliminate any rubber fuel line from pump to carb
My 96, IIRC has the fitting where you use the fuel line disconnect tool. Those adapters you show look like what those would work if same tube size as your tank fitting line.
the factory tank lines are the quick connect gm uses. it should of worked with the fittings above, but it didnt. its like they are too long before the raised lip.
i already tossed the old tank so i dont have anything to compare it to. plus the lines have been kinked a few time so i bet they are not in the best of shape.
i'm wondering if there is a way to connect to the factory hard lines but i need to get back under their to see what connections they have.
Are the tank fittings both -6AN male or female. The factory nylon lines at the tank are probably the same as at the fuel rail, 3/8” supply, 5/16” return.
There are adapters from GM quick connect to -6AN, here's an example:
i ordered the male end for those fittings but they seem to long before the raised lip. i think i'm going to just replace the line all the way to the fuel rail.
but i probably need to order those or have my fuel rail modified for -6 an fitting.
