why the difference between your car and mine?

maybe it is a dealer thing that varied from place to place?
It's possible it was regional, or my dealer did a poor job explaining it to me.

Re: Auto Or Manual?

I bought a stick over an A4 with 50 thousand less miles on it due to the fact it was an auto and it did not have T-Tops, but yet they cost the same. I regret big time i made that stupid mistake. My car has 132000 miles on it and is starting to fall apart, i have done more then 2 thousand dollars in a bunch of minor repairs, I found out the car has been repainted and it is starting to chip off, I have numerouse little issues I can't find, and the rattles and squeaks due to the age/miles are highly annoying. As far as the fun factor my M6 is a blast to drive, there just isnt much like down shifting to 2nd going 50 and spinning the tires. Although, I would of had a better car and paid less if i simply bought the other one and had T-Tops put in and sold the auto and bought an M6. Don't make my mistake...buy the car in the best shape and do what you want to it over time.

not sure if you were talking about the car in your signature/avatar...but I think convertibles had different "standards" when it came to what tranny came in it...dont quote me on that one...

if thats the case then It's possible the auto was standard in the convertible of that year car.

It was a different car, not the one in my signature. In 1994 I pre-ordered a brand new 1995 and waited 6 months for it to be built and delivered. It was black, had the M6, leather, t-tops, power seat, Eagle GSC tires, etc....

That would have been the longest six months of my life...

I had to wait 9 months for a kid a couple times...thats ok..I can live with that...take your time ...

but to wait six months for a brand new Black on leather M6 with t tops would have been pure torture...
