Write up on optispark?
My problem is the way you got smart-*** with me when I couldn't understand that you had switched from asking about the rear drag wheels to the front drag wheels. You didn't seem to appreciate the effort that went into it and had no problem dumping on me for not understanding YOU had switched the topic.
Attitudes like that are a real trun off....

sorry if it upset you that much. I really do appreciate the help and advice you give, though. In all fairness, though, my smart *** response was in retalliation. You've gotten quite bitchy and talked down to me like I was a child on several occassions. I should be more grown up about it, but I can only turn the other cheek so many times before I lash out. I appologize for the passive-aggressive way I went about it.
Don't worry, I won't bother you any more... I'll spend my time helping people who don't act so immature and read all kinds of negativity into sincere attempts to help. Good luck.... you're going to need it.
I was actually apologizing and, at the same time, attempting to explain my actions. Again, sorry if I offended you. The "you're going to need it comment" is funny b/c you say it while also pointing out my "immaturity" You're a mod w/ 20 billion posts and a very smart and knowledgable guy, so I'm not gonna win this arguement. You actually disappointment though, Fred. I had you pegged for being better than the way your acting.
It sucks that my post has turned into petty bickering. Please, if anyone reads this thread I would greatly appreciate any wisdom you could share in regards to optisparks, not this childish bickering. Thanks!

I don't see how there could be many (or any) more questions about the optispark if you read the link I posted in reply #6. Optispark "wisdom" is spread all over thousands of threads on this board.
maro you going to have to educate yourself on the basic stuff. people aren't going to take the time to keep answering simple stuff. I didn't mean to be rude or anything but it seems you have a chip on your shoulder when people try to help you out.....And when you do need help in a piticular area one day people are going to remember it.
Yes shoebox, that link was excellent. I basically found out what I needed to know. Sorry if my questions bother ya'll, but I'm still gonna ask em b/c I love this ****! Happy hot roddin'!
Fred, I really do value your knowledge and experience. I am sorry to have gotten bitchy with you. Once again, I apologize. I don't know what more I can say. Hopefully, we can put this incident behind us and you'll continue to give me your much-needed responses. I apologize in advance for the simplicity that some may contain. I'm just trying to learn from those who have wisdom to share.
Well, sorry to disagree, but where it is gen. automotive it is fbody based. Optispark-LT engine specific. All the suspension questions I've posted are in regards to the suspension set ups on fbodies. I inquired about how a water pump was gear drive-again LT motor(Gen 2 SBC) based. Either this is a tech website or it isn't. I am asking tech questions related to Chevy, and more specifically, fbody performance. If it bothers anyone, just don't read or answer my posts. Sorry, just the way I see it.
Also, a lot of times I just ask to be pointed in the right direction(links, write ups, books, etc..) so I can read and learn for myself.

Some people also often forget that some of that information has been broadcast over and over and over until there is little to add. The search function should be the first thing used. Some openly admit "it's easier to ask a question than search through lots of old posts". Those that hang around the boards and try to answer questions get pretty tired of that one. There are plenty of people that can use real help to bother with people that don't have the initiative to do a little research. The internet is indeed a powerful tool if used wisely.

I keep asking the same ??? and still have not gotten and answer, if im not getting any response coming from ecu to opti, does it mean my ecu is bad or does my opti have to send a response to ecu 1st according to test done on wire with a dig multi meter its not going either way could sensor being off somewhere cause no response or what else would not happen if ecu was shot, thanks for any input to this,by the way love the info on site. but im starting to get fustrated with my car
Well, you are hijacking this thread, but have you ever looked at schematics of the ignition system? The computer provides power and ground to the opti and the opti sends signals back to the computer. Obviously, if the computer is broken, the car will not run. A bad computer is very rare. A bad opti or opti harness (or connection) is not.
