Would a New Battery Help Performance?

Just wondering if a good battery would help at the high end, or is the battery mainly just to start the car on the run the accessories. Meaning, once the car is running would a fully charge battery be better then a low charge battery, or is all the juice after the coil independent on the strength of the battery?

Lately, I've had some slow starting issues...had my battery checked..it was low. I swapped out a new battery and now starts up like a charm every time. (50 month Interstate battery that lasted 7 years..woo hoo!!)

Now I used to have this "loss of power" feeling at the highend, which after reading all these threads, I was going to try swapping out the coil to see if that helps it. But now I notice with my new battery, I don't feel that loss of power anymore...maybe just in my head.

If the voltage going to the fuel pump is low it will effect it so it could be a perfromance issue.

if your battery was bad it could have had your alternator working hard to try and charge it this could also explain the difference you feel.

The alternater runs at a higher voltage than the battery. New battery shouldn't make much difference when the car is running.

yes the alternator runs a higher voltage than the battery. but if the battery is low on charge it will make the alternator work harder. probably not enough to feel. if a battery is actualy bad it will draw mor from the alternator than a battery that is just low on charge. still probably not enought to feel.
