What the heck.....

Just bought a 1994 z28. I'm thinkin this car is really great and boy did I get a great deal.

Now I feel like I've been had as all of a sudden I go to turn the car off and the key just comes right out with the car still running.

I turn the ignition swith to "off" position with no key and the car shuts down; then turn to the "on" position without the key and the darn car starts. How???

In addition, every time I get out the car and turn the key to the "off" position, I hear a faint buzzing noise which i'm sure is draining my battery. Someone please help with what it could be!!

Sounds like you have a faulty ignition switch.

The car is 13 years old, things wear out and break. Check out www.shbox.com , there is a tutorial on there on how to replace an ignition switch as well as a wealth of info on many, many other things.
