Taylor Cut to fit wires - help

hey guys I just want to make sure I am doing this right. The little core just gets folded over and crimped to the connector? Just want to make sure I get it right the first time. I think thats how it goes but just want someone to verify.

Just an fyi. I used silicone tire spray to slide the boots on and it was easy as pie. I highly reccomend it for anyone trying to get the boots on.

I used dielectric grease for the boots. Did you figure out how to crimp them? I recommend checking the resistance with a multimeter to make sure you did it right.

Yep, you cut the insulations off and leave just the core. In the terminal you crimp the core into the top half and crimp the uncut insulation part into the bigger part of the terminal to hold it in place. BTW, have fun cutting the insulation away without unraveling/cutting the core wire on taylors. They are a major pain in the ***. If/when you want to start cursing cause you can't get the taylors core to stay together, just through them out and buy a universal MSD kit. 10 times easier.

Actually it was a piece of cake. I had msd 8.5 run factory way and they sucked. Even with the boots on them. The taylors are working perfect. I didn't find it hard at all and the cutters they send didn't unravel a single core. Now they are otvc and i like it a lot.
