Summit injectors...Good or Bad?

I need some new injectors and I saw the Summit ones. Are they worth buying? Who makes them for Summit?

Summit doesn't have the cleanest track record with all their in house parts. Seeing the prices that they charge for their injector sets, those are pretty close to the prices of the more reputable SVO and Racetronix injectors.

The SVO injectors are $289. I was just trying to save a little money. I will check out the Racetronix site.

Summit just rebrands other parts as their own, they don't make anything. Call them up and see if you can find out who makes then injectors and then you can make an informed decision. I'd guess Accell.

Accel has been known for having very crappy injectors. I'd go SVO's or racetronix.

I think they are to. I always look at summits parts and try and guess who really makes them. Its kinda sad the time I spend in a summit catalog....However just looking at the pictures I am about 90% they are Accell injectors. From the stories I've read I would not be inclined to buy them.

I would sell my car for scrap before I would put anything made by Accel on it. I have SVO 30s in it now but, they are pretty old and I am pretty sure a couple are going bad. I was looking for a good price on a set of injectors. Who has the best price for injectors?

Keep in mind, if one of your SVO injectors go bad, it's going to be very difficult to find one or two to replace it. They are only sold in sets and a guy is having this exact problem right now. Why not just get some injectors rated for our fuel pressure?

I had thought of replacing the one or two bad injectors but, I decided to purchase a set. You can actually buy individual 30LB injectors. The 89 Thunderbird Super Coupes came with 30s from the factory. The later Super Coupes actually came with 36s.

Why are people putting Ford injectors on a Chevy? I assume they're interchangeable. Are the SVO injectors better? What is the flowrate of the stock injectors on a '97 LT1?

Yes, the SVO injectors are very reputable and proven to work time and time again. The stock injector sizing in the LT1 are 24#ers.
