Still runnin rich
Still runnin rich
I have a 94 Z. I have just about done everything i know possiable to try to get this thing tuned in right and its still runnin to rich. I have uped the ignition completly (all MSD) uped the fuel system with Accell #30 injectors and Accell adjustable reg. I have replaced all the sensors o2,mass,tps, ext.ext. Im lost i have no other ideas that would be causing it. I had it pluged into a computer and all it said was that i was reading rich at my o2 sensors.
Fuel presure is at 45 psi if that is more of a idea...... pm me with some answers if ya dont mind and Thanks for the help

Might want to post the specific code you got for the O2 sensors. Who did the tune for the 30# injectors?
Are you sure its a "true" rich condition, and not a false rich? Does the exhaust smell excessively of fuel? Are you getting a lot of carbon in the exhaust tips? Are the plugs showing signs of a rich mixture? Has fuel mileage dropped off?

Is it tuned for the larger injectors?
You really have given far too little info for a "virtual diagnosis", which is hard under the best of circumstances. Every detail you can think of, plus a history of the problem and a full description of the way it runs are needed. Reminds m, in a negative way, of my work.
Me: Hi, I'm Dr. Krause, what can I help you with?
Patient: I'm sick, doc.
Me: Can you give me a little information to help us out here?
Pt: You're the doctor, you should know.

PCM For Less does mail order tuning and has a good reputation. In the meantime, put your stock injectors back in.

38psi with the vacuum compensation line attached is normal. 45psi with the line attached would be higher than normal. 45psi with the vacuum line disconnected would be a shade on the high side, further complicating the fact that the long term fuel corrections can't compensate for the oversize injectors.
Its running rich because you put in injectors that flow 25% more than stock, and the long term fuel corrections can only pull 15% fuel out. You've bottomed out the long term corrections, and you're running on the short terms, which is going to be hit or miss.
