So did I jinx myself or ...???

Here I am a couple days ago braggin about how my Ebay (ThePartsLadi-Delphi) Opti is doing fine and it's the way to go.

https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...=1#post5741777

No problems with my Partsladi opti....just replaced it about two months ago.

Excellent decision!,
Ivan
So I had recently replaced that, the Coil and the ICM. I bought the ICM from AZ only because the Chevy house was out of stock and I only had one day off last week (Sunday) so I wanted to use it to get all the pieces fresh and new. I had been experienceing what I thought was a random cylinder misfire (P0300) and the car had even died out completely one night on the way home. I let it sit for a couple then it restarted and good to go. The next day it would not start for anything so that's when I decided to just wait and get the ICM for it.

FFWD to this past Sunday.

Now that I replaced the ICM it still won't start.

-Pulled every fuse in the car...all check.
-removed the opti pigtail...res&continuity..check
-I tested 12vdc on the A & D terminals....check
-tested for 1-4 vdc on B while cranking...check
-tested the new coil's resistance...check
-tested for ground on C...NEGATIVE!

So today I called in....gotta get this car righteous!

I pulled the chassis ground (braided copper wire o ring terminal with all the other wires connected to it) and it seems like it was kinda ratty. So I pulled em all, stripped soldered all the terminals together and reattached.

Ground checks Satisfactory at the C terminal now...Boom. Good to go.

Reconnected everything else ....now nothing.

Pulled a spark plug. Heavy fuel smell and wet. Getting fuel.

Attached the plug in the boot. Turned the car over....

NO SPARK.

Did I jinx the mojo or wtf?? I don't want to keep running in circles if the opti took a crap. I know it's a new opti and it's Delphi and I didn't buy a "new from the dealership" opti, but what the hell??

I absolutely need this car to be on track. I've spent the money and need to start thinking logically. What tree do I need to be barking up?

The next step seriously is taking it in.......

I'd rather be spending that money on some gas or new DR's.....lol

Thanks for the vine,
Ivan

nope....

Opti is ****.....rotor is good.....wow.

Everything is perfect but I have no spark....

Gonna start working my way upstream. Anyway to test the PCM???? Maybe I dont need to since I'm gettin the 1-4 at engine cranking....and I'm also seeing 11.56 v on A and D... Ground is good to go as well.
