Should I go ahead and get bigger injectors?

I have to replace a bad head gasket and am installing some ported heads in their place while I'm at it. My engine has about 150k on it so I am refreshing the whole top end. Should I just get the stock injectors checked out and get bigger ones later, or should I go ahead and get bigger ones and just have the PCM retuned for them? I will be full bolt on including 1.7RR with the ported heads. Not doing cam until I can afford a rebuild.

If you don't need bigger injectors, then I wouldn't get them. Otherwise, if you do upgrade to a larger size, you are going to have to spend additional on a tune to avoid running rich. Also, swapping out injectors is a pretty easy task anyhow as the fuel rail pretty easily pops up so it would just make sense to wait.

You don't need them. It wouldn't do anything but put a big hole in your wallet.
