Here's the deal. Just bought the car, an LT1 T/A.
Having fuel pressure issues causing it not to start.
Pulled the pump, and the suction hose was coming off the pump, clamps not even tight. Fixed it, fired right up.
Then I notice this little wiring gem.
I dont know what kind of pump was installed (owner said it was installed less than 2 months ago.)
I thought a good aftermarket pump came with a wiring harness that didnt need to be spliced??
May be this one did? I'm concerned over the safety of butt connectors sitting submerged in a tank of fuel.
If it's safe i'm going to re-do the ground connection, cause the butt connector used is way too big for the wire gauge, and may be causing my fuel sending unit problems.

If I saw that I wouldn't ask questions, I'd simply redo and solder it, only takes a few minutes.
