Resistance checking wires

I took the NO 1 spark plug wire off to check the resistance. Its about 12-13 inches long. I am getting a reading of 0.768 kilohms on my digital multimeter. Is this showing a bad wire? I am have multimeter dyslexia today

That would be 768 ohms. OK, as long as its not a super-low resistance wire like an MSD SuperConductor.

Comparing it to another one or two will tell you the range of resistance on your particular wires.
