Are plug wires supposed to look like this?

Well last year I installed the LTCC on my car, and this year I had to take some stuff apart and I unplugged one of the wires from it's coil pack and the connecting lead looked almost as if it had oxidized. Is this normal? Or is something wrong with my car. Check out the pic, sorry for the crap quality it's off my cell phone. Thanks guys.

Doesn't look serious. If you are worried about it, clean it up and do whatever you need to make the clip fit tightly.

i just did my plugs and my wires were so hot that i'm not really surprised that they can oxidize so quickly in the right environment.

Use dielectric grease on them and get a good connection and that won't happen.

A good connection? Should I crimp the connectors a little bit? Also, how would you advise to clean off the connections?
